Andrea Rossi’s e-cat seems to have set on the right path towards commercialization after the 10k list confirmation. Interestingly enough, just a couple of days after Rossi’s announcement about the finalization of the list, The Journal of Nuclear Physics gets hacked again.
While this along is enough to stir some more conspiration theories, we shouldn’t jump into a misleading conclusion, without knowing all the facts. One thing is certain: Leonardo Corporation is up for something big for 2012; even bigger than this year.
With the success of its goal to reach 10,000 names interested in the e-cat home unit, it is safe to say that the company is, for sure, going to surprise us. It is obviously going to be a very exciting year next year, for Rossi and his controversial cold fusion technology that is now considered as the answer to the world energy shortage, but also for the world.
A handful of e-cat articles have been published in the pages of mainstream media over the past few weeks now. That includes Fox News and Forbes, among many others. AP’s reluctance to give this story the weight it deserves, on the other hand, shows that Rossi’s work is not done, but it still continues until a definitive proof supporting his device will see print.
At the same time, the support of Senator Tarr and Mitt Romney add a couple more interesting twists and rays of hope to the ECat story. Both politicians have recently expressed great interest in the device.
Is the US Military really the first e-cat customer that did not put in place because Rossi refused to reveal his cold fusion secrets? We do not know. Also, we cannot be certain why NASA took so long before releasing three PDF documents containing LENR presentations, and they only did it under the pressure of Freedom of Information Act. Possible competitors also took center-stage. It makes sense to assume that a cold fusion war might be on its way.
Just like thrilling puzzles, Rossi’s story is not a simple one and some pieces are still misplaced or missing. But in the real world of the energy market, all the pieces will soon gather together, because money is the name of the game here and money makes even the cold fusion world spin, especially when the number of threatened corporations, speculators, opportunists, researchers, potential competitors, hopeful investors, and future ECat customers continue to grow.

Maybe Andrea Rossi is claiming a hack, so when all the charges start appearing on 10000 credit cards nobody can suspect him.
I did think LENR has potential, but Rossi apparently missed out on 15 million because he couldn’t keep it stable for a few days, nor could he produce a stable thing for NASA either.
If you had invented a car that could only drive 10 miles before conking out, I am sure that once it could reach 100 miles you would show the world.
Also nobody talks about the energy that is spent on grinding nickel, or how much energy this might add.

As one of the 10,000 I can tell you that no credit card information was asked for or given. More of an expression of interest than anything else.
The amount of energy needed to produce the nickel fuel is unknown, but likely insignificant. Simple industrial processes are cheap.

Glad to hear it is still looking positive. I was a hardcore fan until everyone started saying his products were unstable. NASA and Defkalion said his reactor cannot go long enough to warrant the 15 million Defkalion was supposed to inject.
The prices also seem crazy.
The reactors appear to be so simple I am guessing they could mass produce for $10 each. Aside from a lid there is no moving parts. I see electronics at my dollar store that seem way more involved.
Like I said I was a fan, but this “I will build them all” business plan is slow moving and deadly. People are dying everyday because of smog/oil wars/and lack of food and water.
Cheap energy could solve desalination problems in parched countries, and provide arid farmland.
I would have been the first to give Andrea Rossi Kudos, but now I think he is just a money hungry power plant developer that is as greedy as Mr.burns from The Simpsons. I am not just saying that because of the obvious resemblance either.
If he has the ability to prove cold fusion to the world and he doesn’t then he is committing murder. Money, Money, Money, Money.
Maybe if a few other fans convert he will see the Evil of his way.

Who really killed was those men who destroyed Pons and Fleishmann in
1989. The same men are still working hard to hide any scientific
evidence of LENR. Just an example, here in Italy happened the same as
P&F to Antonella De Ninno (in 2002) who showed strict correlation
between heat generation and 4He creation during a cold-fusion reaction.
She cannot even publsh about the work (Rapporto 41 – ENEA) and was soon
moved to other researchs.
So what should Rossi do ? Should he fight alone against the SPECTRE ?
Rossi wasn’t helped by anyone in his effort and even sold his house and
borrow money to get the ECat done. It was hard work for him and took
several years of his life. I think it’s natural that he want to “get
rich” with his creation.
Rossi also said that for a complete disclosure of his device we simply
need to wait the grant of the patent. He always answer to anyone who
want to study his device “Buy one and study as you want”.
I think the world should be thankfully with Rossi who could even sold
his project to someone whose only interest is to put it in a drawer and
forget it. Keep in mind that many people even died for much less than
this attack to oil power.

On this:”now considered as the answer to the world energy shortage..”
That’s only one answer. There are several more in the offing, many based on electromagnetism, but they need funding.
