ECat Teasers Heighten Excitement

Production and sales of Andrea Rossi’s e-cat are fast-approaching. The Italian inventor’s breakthrough invention is a low energy nuclear reaction device that produces large amounts of heat and One million home-based e-cat units of 10 KW each are expected to hit the market before the year ends.

The cost is more than affordable at only $500 per thermal unit, so there’s no wonder more and more media outlets and people are interested in the device. The passed weekend, a new announcement on Rossi’s blog (Journal of Nuclear Physics) created a quite stir that heightened the excitement concerning the launching of the e-cat for household purposes.

Rossi responded a question asked by a reader/follower of his blog and made the following statements:

It [e-cat] will be cm 30 x 30 x 12 circa. Not able to make electricity yet. Able to make heat and sanitary water (this is a new of today: resolved also this problem).

It might be recalled that Rossi had admitted before that his 10 KW home e-cat was not ready for sanitary use, including hand washing, shower and many other cleaning purposes. The revelation was made during a radio interview (Scarecrow Show) with Sterling Allan of Peswiki that took place last weekend.

However, with the new statement Rossi has posted, it appeared that the problem has been solved very quickly.

The original design of the device is also among the main concerns lately. Many people believe that a significant change has been made to solve the said problem. Rossi did not mention any changes though, but it’s more than likely than once the functionality is 100% set, a user-friendly product design will follow.

As of the moment, we just need to wait until September for full specs of the e-cat. We continue to monitor and follow the entries on Rossi’s JONP blog, in the meantime. It seems that Rossi’s website is getting more and more exciting as the production and sales of his home-based e-cat units is fast approaching with this latest update being an interesting development for an energy dream to slowly become a reality.

  1. At this point we have nothing. We’ve never had a properly vetted validation test run by an independent 3rd party. We don’t know for sure that Rossi really did sell his 1MW ecat since the “customer”, whose identity we were supoosed to learn, conveniently chose to remain anonymous at the last minute. In fact, there are rumors that the 1MW ecat is still in Bologna. The University of Bologna terminated their agreement with him and Upsalla will probably soon follow suit. We need world class Ph.D physicists to tell HOW the damned thing works (if it does), but we don’t need them to tell us that it DOES work. Any competent engineer can do that. Just operate an ecat in self sustained mode for a few days and allow an independent 3rd party engineer to run the test. They wouldn’t even need to open up the reactor. Rossi’s strategy all along has been to say that he’ll do x, y & z and then change the plan at the last minute, offering some silly excuse as justification. Then all the Kool-Aid drinkers postulate about how brilliant the change of strategy is when, in reality, Rossi is just changing gears because he milked the last deception dry. I smell a scam.

    • If it’s just a scam, how do you explain that so many physicists and scientists publicly stated that it works?

      • Simple, even those physicists have admitted that they didn’t run the tests themselves, didn’t calibrate the instruments themselves and didn’t have an opportunity to look inside. They have all stated that the tests were not run long enough to provide definitive proof and that ireffutable proof will come when  1) tests are run by an independent 3rd party and   2) they are run long enough to dicount the possibility of secretly stored chemical energy. They’ve all hedged their bets saying that it looks promising etc…. But that was MONTHS ago and, since then, Rossi has acted suspiciously by not allowing independent testing. Bottom line: Until the ecat is 1) tested by a technically competent and independent 3rd party  or   2) a credible customer goes public and says “yes we have an ecat and it works”, we don’t have irrefutable evidence.

        • Scientists haven’t just said it looks promising, they said it works.
Yes, they also said they don’t fully understand the process in which it works, but that’s a different matter.

Not to mention the fact that Rossi sold his own business to invest the money in the ongoing development of the ECat device and that he never asked for funding, nor did he accept donations from various people.

The pre-order list requires no up-front payment and the device has a money-back guarantee anyway.

Rossi has made no profit whatsoever and he’s constantly spending more with the tech and dev of his device.

Sure, you might have another opinion, but in my book, a scam doesn’t involve spending all my money without getting anything in return.

          • Not one of those scientists has actually run the tests themselves. Basically they are saying that if Rossi hasn’t falsified the tests results, it works. Until an independent 3rd part tests the device, or a recognized buyer goes public, we’ll only have Rossi’s word and scientific speculation.

          • We don’t really know that he hasn’t gotten anything in return because we don’t have access to his bank accounts or other investments. Alternatively, he could have THOUGHT that he had something 1-2 years ago, but has since learned that it doesn’t work. All I know is that Rossi’s refusal to allow independent 3rd party testing of an ecat is very suspicious. The way he promises one thing and then does something different in the end smacks of “bait and switch”. I was very positive and optimistic about the ecat up until the point where the 28 October test was run very differently than how the public was promised.
