Andrea Rossi’s Hot Cat is soon to be delivered to the anonymous civilian customer. The third party report is soon to be released, and preliminary reports are that it will be resoundingly positive. Leonardo Corp.’s American partner is ready, in Rossi’s words, to “manufacture as many E-Cats as are ordered.”
In all there is a lot of change just over the horizon, and a lot of change behind. Just barely a year ago, Mr. Rossi said that he hoped to have the domestic E-Cats, for use as heating units, on the market by summer. It turns out that certification of these devices was harder than even the ever-cautious Andrea Rossi imagined. But, he continued working on his invention, developing the Hot Cat for industrial use. Now, a year later, rather than a domestic device, we will have an industrial device capable of providing not only heat but electricity as well. With the unlimited possibilities connected to this successful technology, many investors are wondering if they will have a chance to “get in on the ground floor” of this technology.
A commenter on Rossi’s blog, the Journal of Nuclear Physics, recently asked him:
“…is it possible to buy shares of your company? Or will it be possible in the future?”
Rossi replied that, in essence, he is still limiting investors to scientists who understand the experimental nature of LENR and to corporations that are willing to take risks. He also intimated that the LENR science still has many battles to fight, and he would not feel secure allowing public investment until those issues are settled. He said:
“No, I think that our enterprise is still very risky, and, as I always said, I want not to play foot ball with the bones of the others. We sign contracts only with expert persons and corporations, perfectly aware of the fact that they are joining a warship, not a cruise ship. When we will be at a stage in which investments on us will be safe, we will go public, respecting all the ethical, deontological, and National laws.”
Still, the knowledge that, at sometime, the technology will be available for public trading is yet one more event to anticipate.
