Cold Fusion: A revolutionary discovery

Professor Christos Stremmenos brought the concept of cold fusion to Greece. He worked with the Greek government to set up a factory that will produce the same energy catalyst that Andrea Rossi and Sergio Focardi invented, which is capable of generating 1MW power plant.
Christos Stremmenos went to Bologna from Greece in 1950s. There, he got married and taught at the University until his retirement.
In late sixties, when Greek Military Junta came to power, Christos associated himself closely with anti-fascist circles. As an opposition to the Military government, he also joined hands in an ever lasting friendship with Andreas Papandreou, the founder of Greek Socialist Party, and with his son George Papandreou, current Prime Minister of Greece. In the eighties, he has also served as an Ambassador of Greece in Italy.

He has been interested in cold fusion reactions since the first time Fleischmann and Pons performed experiments on it. After attempting to replicate their experiments, he started working with Sergio Focardi. Both of them worked on cold fusion reactions, specifically, on nickel power instead of palladium.
In his first part of interview, Stremmenos sketched the map of events up to the latest developments of work with Focardi. “We have many ideas” – claims Stremmenos – “and there still is a long way to go, but this is a road that may lead to incredible developments”.
In the second part of the interview, Professor Stremmenos focused on the recent events. He mentioned his negotiation with Greek government to make an industrial plant possible. To bring this plant to life, Defkalion Green Technology was formed. He became his vice president of this business venture. The critical view he has about those who refuse to give the new discovery due consideration, runs in parallel with his eagerness for the discovery of the new technology, which according to him, is revolutionary. Christos Stremmenos declares: “Skeptics shall be defeated by the market, though; this discovery is not meant to serve capitalists, but mankind”.

On March, Greek economy newspaper “Express” reported”:
2011-03-16: “A 200 million euro investment is about to arrive in Xanthi (a city in northern Greece) for the startup of an industrial unit for the production of devices for low cost thermal and electric energy generation. The Greek business Defkalion Green Technologies, which will invest for the mass production and worldwide distribution of Hyperion devices, secured all rights of the scientific discovery of two Italian scientists (with a holding company) who claim to have invented a cold Nickel and Hydrogen cold fusion reactor which generates an amount of heat vastly greater than what the reactor needs to start up. Defkalion Green Technologies has not only secured all rights for the economic exploitation of the two Italian professors’ invention, but also managed to make it an industrial product, in order to turn over not the energy situation of our country, but also at an international level.
