E-Cat News Reaches Mainstream Media

News about the E-Cat has reached The Washington Times (article here), thanks to the fact that more and more people around the world are considering the abandonment of nuclear fission.

In the meantime, an article published by  Investor’s World  in Greece was incorporated and enhanced with details by Xhanti Press ( in this article ), a regional newspaper from the area where the factory that will be building the 1 MW plants consisting of a hundred E-Cats, is located.Xhanti is has a population of about 56,000 residents and is located in the north-east of Greece, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. I checked the article’s translation from Greek with Google Translate and I have been stuck by this summary of the story.

In the plant in Xhanti, Defkalion Green Technologies will produce 1 MW units (consisting of one hundred Cat-E each ). These units will be able to produce thermal energy (and electricity) using the process of nickel-hydrogen reaction developed by engineer Rossi and by Professor Focardi.

The trade name under which the 1 MW units will be sold is  ”Hyperion” . The article confirms that the production will start in October 2011 and the factory will manufacture 300.000 devices each year. 215 new job opportunities will be created in the factory from Xanthi, and other 2.000 people will form the support network throughout Greece.  The factory will also create a research center consisting of 25 scientists.

Sources in the greek government upheld the news.
