K.D., a poster on Andrea Rossi’s blog, the Journal of Nuclear Physics, recently asked Rossi for an update on orders for the E-Cat. K.D. referred to several months ago, when Rossi said he had orders for over 10,000 domestic units.
Rossi replied:
“We have received more than half million requests, but we cannot start the production and distribution of the domestic devices without a full certification.”
Over a half million devices have been ordered! Once the E-Cat is certified for domestic use, there is going to be a big surge in employment as these units are manufactured and shipped. But, the remarkable thing here is that Rossi does not accept down payments. This, alone, should be a testament to the veracity of his claims. A fraud would be willing to accept down payments on such a huge volume of orders, hoping to disappear quietly in the future, before the scam is discovered.
Rossi’s commitment to funding all of his work himself, without individual investors, indicates a true belief in his own product.

No down payments. Good. But is he taking money from licencees?

Well, licensees seem quite open to share E-Cat info they know. So you could contact and ask them directly, just to avoid all the online gossiping on the subject.
